Leinassar Dental Excellence offers dentistry for the entire family. We understand that adults & children have different needs & we address them all. This includes our regular dental hygiene visits, sealants, mouthguards & patient/parent education. We place a high emphasis on sealants, which are effective in preventing tooth decay on the biting surfaces of chewing teeth. This plastic coating, which is clear or tooth-colored, is applied to deep pits & grooves. This seals them in the areas where decay is most likely to begin. At less than half the cost of conventional fillings, without anesthetics or drilling, sealants are one of the most important preventive services Dr. Leinassar offers.
Leinassar Dental Excellence offers in-office digital x-rays for your convenience. Digital x-rays are computer-generated images that require up to 90% less radiation than conventional film-type x-rays. Instead of using the traditional silver-oxide x-ray film, which must be developed & then fixed in caustic & environmentally damaging solutions, the new system takes pictures via a small electronic sensor. A picture of the tooth is instantaneously transmitted onto the monitor in the treatment room so we can see your teeth & surrounding structures immediately.
Early detection is key in the battle against cancer, & this is no different with oral cancer. Even if you don’t smoke, keep in mind that 25% of oral-cancer diagnoses are for non-smokers. It’s important that every patient receive a simple & pain-free exam from Dr. Leinassar. Remember that when caught early, oral cancer has an 80 to 90% survival rate. So don’t put off your examination another minute!
Mercury amalgam (silver) fillings may be hazardous to your health. At Leinassar Dental Excellence, we believe that the overall health of our patients always comes first. Accordingly, at our office we have elected to only use new & advanced fillings made of tooth-colored materials that contain no metals or mercury. It’s just one more way that we show our patients how much we care. Your safety & smile are our primary concerns!
Also known as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is a great tool for patients who may be uneasy about their dental procedures. The beauty of laughing gas is that your dentist can constantly adjust your level of sedation during the procedure & once it is shut off, the effects stop almost immediately. A few minutes after the procedure is complete, you’ll be back to normal!
Dr. Leinassar is certified to administer nitrous oxide for nervous patients. Call today to schedule your appointment or to see if you’re a candidate for nitrous oxide sedation!
With Oral Sedation (also known as Sleep Dentistry), you actually won’t be asleep, but in a state of sedation which allows the patient to feel slightly in control & gives them the ability to answer the doctor’s questions. Oral sedation is very safe when monitored by a certified dental professional. Your gag reflex will be minimized, making your procedure an easy one!
Commonly misdiagnosed or overlooked, a subtle misalignment in the temporomandibular joint can be a common, significant source of head & neck pain. If you have frequent & severe head or neck pain, you owe it to yourself to investigate our doctor’s life-changing approach to correcting these TMJ problems.

With advanced & surprisingly comfortable endodontic therapy, you have an alternative to tooth removal, which will allow you to retain full use of your natural teeth. Endodontic therapy involves the removal of tissue from inside the tooth that has been damaged by trauma or infected by decay. After the pulp is removed, the pulp chamber & root canal system is cleaned, disinfected & sealed. Once a root canal is completed, two other procedures are generally needed to complete the restoration of the tooth. These are done by the general dentist.
Periodontal (gum) disease can lead to more than just an unsightly smile—it can cause loss of teeth & eventually, if left untreated, other more serious health problems. Called gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal disease is caused by excessive toxic bacteria (found in plaque) that attack your mouth’s soft tissues. Early warning signs of this disease include red, swollen, or bleeding gums. If caught early, we can help you reverse the damage. If detected late, we can use one of the many effective restorative dentistry procedures to restore your mouth to its healthy, beautiful state. Let Dr. Leinassar help you keep your teeth & gums strong & disease-free with regular examinations & cleanings.

Bad breath (halitosis) is not only embarrassing, but it may also be a sign of a medical problem.
